Conventional wisdom holds that there are too many dogs. Several years ago I read an assertion that the problem ISN'T too many animals but not enough homes. It seemed a silly, even faintly illogical, assertion but the woman writing the opinion sounded...

This was a great article. Everyone who is thinking about becomming a pet owner should read it. Pets do require a lot and we need to be prepared to give it to them. A dog lover too.

Oh, I can be a 'Super Rhymes with Bruja'. Slo-oo-wly my dogs (and cats) are helping me to learn patience and kindness. They've given me so much.

I think your extended family sounds wonderful. The furry ones in your life can bring so much love and stability (just hugging one when you're feeling down can do wonders). As you said though, it's not what they do for us, but what we can do for them. You are so right on!
